6. On the way to my friend Rachie's 30th birthday party and engagement celebration.

8. Receiving postcards from faraway friends (especially when they have a Christmas stamp in May!).

1. A Sunday morning visit to the botanical gardens at Kew was really enjoyable.
2. Loved this monogrammed H&M cushion...

4. Hiding behind pillars in the old Victorian glasshouses at Kew Gardens!
5. Saturday lunch at Jamie Oliver's Fifteen restaurant to celebrate my chap's birthday.
6. Ordering fizz before midday is always a treat (and always very fun)!
7. Toasting the day with Lady Chatterley's Lover cocktails at the W Hotel bar.
8. A sneaky photograph of the St. Martin's theatre safety curtain during the interval of Mousetrap, which is the longest running show in London's West End - now in it's 58th year!
9. Loved these Poppies I spotted whilst walking around at Kew Gardens.
10. The weathered Victoriana of the glasshouses made the visit all the more romantic; I especially liked this spiral staircase.

1. Starting the weekend with a row around Regents Park boating lake in the glorious sunshine.

2. Celebrating the wedding of William and Kate with some champagne in our kitchen.

3. Taking a romantic stroll through the Hill Gardens is a lovely way to spend an afternoon.

4. I always underestimate how long it takes me to clear up after a shoot!

6. I also loved the elegant simplicity of this tea towel.

7. An impromptu trip to the theatre to see Andrew Lloyd Webber's latest musical, The Wizard of Oz, was brilliant fun even sitting in the cheap seats!

8. Excited to learn that Sweet Paul magazine is going into print in Norway. Congratulations, Paul!

9. Painted our dining room wall navy blue in preparation for creating an art wall.

Sneak Peek - My New Place

This past weekend has been spent moving into here, our new place! I quickly snapped these before the room turned into a sea of boxes (roughly thirty seconds later). I'm busy settling into my surroundings today, so 10 things will return next week. In the meantime, I thought it would be fun to share a peek inside the main room of the apartment, which has these gorgeous factory-style windows. The building has recently been renovated after laying empty for a number of years. In fact, it's holds quite a heritage to it: the building was used as a warehouse to make army uniforms during WWII. Let's hope there's no wars deciding on what goes where...! See you tomorrow, folks.

1. Saturday afternoon burgers at Byron are good, but even better when the restaurant looks this colourful.

2. A bracing walk around the South Bank saw off Saturday morning's hangover that followed a few drinks after seeing Legally Blonde: The Musical on Friday. (Which, by the way, was a brilliant birthday surprise!)

3. This bold and graphic dining room caught my eye.

4. I picked up this lacquered pink lamp base for a bargain £20 at Habitat's Regent St. store closing down sale.

5. I've developed a fondness for stripey ties.

6. More people should have brightly coloured front doors.

7. My second birthday surprise was a backstage tour of the National Theatre. I loved every second it and felt lucky to be given such a thoughtful present.

8. The BKLYN contessa introduced to me these divine limited edition prints.

9. You know I said I was fond of stripy ties? Well I love dotty ones!
