{Elle Decoration July 2010}

Ready for a bit of a mammoth peak inside the summer-tastic July issue of Elle Decoration? Hope so, because it's a goodun'. I figured as it was Friday morning we'll all be winding down ready for the weekend, so what better than a cuppa and a few minutes drooling over some glossy interiors goodness. I'm up for it if you are? Let's get started! The cover - in it's usual matt print - is as divine and tactile as ever. I spied it out in the store like a magpie would a glistening diamond and it gets my vote for the best summer cover of the shelter mags so far this year. Inside, the treats keep on coming. First, there's a quick home tour of IKEA designer Anne Nilsson's Swedish country home (2), which is typically all white with fun pops of colour. A few pages later we're treated to some snaps of Ralph Lauren's new townhouse boutique (4) - the mag is worth buying for this page alone. There's beautiful blue vases in the NOW section (3) and a nice mini feature on how to decorate 'cool' for kids (5). The home tours in the back section are some of the best in a while: I fell instantly in love with the stylish art wall (6) in the dining room of a Copenhagen home; literally squealed with delight with each page turn of Silvia Venturini Fendi's (creative director of accessories at Fendi) seaside home on the Italian island of Ponza (7-10) - that kitchen, that setting it's all just too awesome; and finally I think I could do with a bookcase like this (11) for all my magazines. Crikey, after that I could do with a cool drink and an al fresco lunch (12).

Elle Decoration is out now, so grab a copy while you can - it's one for keeps!
